FORT HALL, Idaho – Registration deadline for the public is June 2 to hear internationally-acclaimed author and community development strategist Peter Kageyama speak at a Fort Hall luncheon June 8. Come join your friends, neighbors and community members to find out and talk more about why we connect with the place where we live and the impact it can have in terms of continued civic participation.
Entitled Creating Quality Places Where People Want to Live, Work and Play, Kageyama will speak at the Shoshone Bannock Event Center at 777 Bannock Trail in Fort Hall from noon to 1:30 p.m., with a registration fee of $15 to include lunch. The author of the groundbreaking books For the Love of Cities and Love Where You Live, will provide an in-depth exploration of the importance of building great places that we care about.
Topics covered will include:
How small things can be the key to attracting and retaining a dynamic workforce.
How smaller communities need to find and promote their most authentic strengths, rather than trying to be something they are not.
