Ken Corder was named the new director of philanthropy for Idaho Housing and Finance.
Corder brings years of experience in community engagement and fundraising work to Idaho Housing, including leadership roles at several nonprofits and governmental entities, namely the city of Meridian’s mayor’s office and the American Heart Association’s Idaho division.

Corder will be carrying out Idaho Housing’s philanthropic endeavors under the association’s foundation, which is a separate nonprofit organization that helps communities meet their most pressing housing needs. Corder will oversee the foundation’s community investment opportunities, as well as work to build nonprofit partnerships and grow the annual Avenues for Hope fundraiser.
“Ken has a passion for serving his fellow Idahoans and I am excited for him to bring that energy to our foundation,” said Brady Ellis, vice president of community housing at Idaho Housing and Finance. “I look forward to him building on the success we’ve had with the Avenues for Hope campaign.”
Ken takes over for Deanna Ward, who retired earlier this year after 15 years with the foundation. You can meet Ken in person at the annual Avenues for Hope kickoff lunch, featuring keynote speaker David Ambroz, on Dec. 9 at the Boise Centre.
About the foundation:
Idaho Housing and Finance, through the Home Partnership Foundation, has invested more than $15 million to help meet the needs for safe, stable and affordable housing throughout Idaho.
