Idaho nonprofits need help to continue to provide essential housing resources this winter. In addition to individual donations, the 31 organizations participating in the Avenues For Hope Housing Challenge are in the running for a share of $200,000 in grants.
Idaho nonprofits have raised more than $77,000 in the first 12 days of the Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge, a grassroots effort to help organizations that provide critical housing services. Donors are encouraged to go to www.avenuesforhope.org through Dec. 31 to give to the participating nonprofits. The organizations that receive the most individual donations of $25 or more are eligible for a share of $200,000 in grants from the Home Partnership Foundation and eight corporate sponsors. Last year, Avenues for Hope had a $233,469 impact on homelessness in Idaho.
