Love Twin Falls? We do! Hurry to register by June 2 to hear Peter Kageyama, author of For the Love of Cities, in Twin Falls

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Registration deadline for the public is June 2 to hear internationally-acclaimed author and community development strategist Peter Kageyama speak at a Twin Falls luncheon June 9. Come join your friends, neighbors and community members to find out and talk more about why we connect with the place where we live and the impact it can have in terms of continued civic participation.

Entitled Creating Quality Places Where People Want to Live, Work and Play, Kageyama will speak at the Canyon Crest Event Center at 330 Canyon Crest Dr. in Twin Falls from noon to 1:30 p.m., with a registration fee of $15 to include lunch. The author of the groundbreaking books For the Love of Cities and Love Where You Live, will provide an in-depth exploration of the importance of building great places that we care about.

Topics covered will include:
 How small things can be the key to attracting and retaining a dynamic workforce.
 How smaller communities need to find and promote their most authentic strengths, rather than trying to be something they are not.
 How to promote better collaboration between multiple generations.
 How cities can work together with citizens, businesses and universities to spur economic development, increase engagement and make their cities better.
 How to create a city that is unique enough so that when people leave, they want to return someday.

Registration is required at or call 208-331-4743 for more information.

The event is hosted by Idaho Housing and Finance Association and supported by Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Western Magic Valley Realtors.
