At Idaho Housing and Finance Association, our mission goes beyond mortgage lending — we’re dedicated to strengthening Idaho communities through strategic investments that foster safety, stability, and opportunity.
This year, we’re proud to highlight our support for three impactful projects across the state that are creating real change:
- LC Valley Youth Resource Center, Lewiston: Recognizing the urgent need for youth transitioning into adulthood in the region, Idaho Housing helped finance a significant expansion of the LC Valley Youth Resource Center. This project will build a Village of 12 tiny-house-style cottages in a gated transitional housing community for youth aged 18-20. While additional funding is needed to bring the project to full completion, the expansion is already laying the groundwork for transformative impact.
“This expansion facilitates sustainable, generational change for youth in our community. We are deeply grateful for Idaho Housing’s critical support in making it possible.” — Michelle King, Founder and President, LC Valley Youth Resource Center
- Canopy Village, Coeur d’Alene: Idaho Housing is honored to partner with Canopy Village on the construction of a new residential building for male residents facing housing insecurity. Our financing has helped propel this much-needed project forward, and although fundraising continues to close the final gap, progress is well underway toward expanding access to safe, supportive housing in North Idaho.
“Idaho Housing’s commitment has brought us much closer to realizing our vision of providing safe, stable housing for all youth in need. Their investment has been invaluable.” — Vanessa Moos, MPA, CFRE, Chief Executive Officer, Canopy Village
- The Advocates, Hailey: We’re excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of The Advocates’ new Thrive Center for Safety and Healing, which will double the organization’s capacity to provide transitional housing and support services to individuals affected by domestic violence. Scheduled for completion in November 2026, this center will be a cornerstone for healing in the Wood River Valley.
“We are thrilled to break ground on the Thrive Center for Safety and Healing which will allow us to serve more survivors with dignity and care. Idaho Housing’s support has made all the difference.” — Tricia Swartling, CEO, MPH, CFRE, The Advocates
Each of these projects exemplifies Idaho Housing’s unwavering commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities across the state.
