The 2013 Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge provided a $233,469 funding boost to 31 organizations that provide essential housing services to Idaho families.
Almost 1,000 individual donors and 10 corporate sponsors contributed during the 22‐day fundraising effort that wrapped up Dec. 31. More than $380,000 has been donated to help housing service providers in Idaho since the campaign’s inception in 2011.
“Thousands of Idahoans will have an opportunity to get back on their feet this year thanks to this collaboration between the Home Partnership Foundation and nonprofits throughout the state,” said Gerald M. Hunter, president of the Foundation and Idaho Housing and Finance Association. “We are grateful for the generous support from donors in communities throughout Idaho and for our nonprofit partners and sponsors. Without them, many critical resources for the homeless would not be available.”
The Home Partnership Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization created by Idaho Housing and Finance Association, spearheads the annual campaign. Sponsors include AmericanWest Bank, Bank of Idaho, Barclays Capital, Citigroup, Citizens Community Bank, Idaho Housing and Finance Association, KeyBank Foundation, Mountain West Bank, The Bank of Commerce and Wells Fargo.
