(NAMPA) Homebuyers in Nampa will soon have the opportunity to become more informed about purchasing a home with the help of Enfin à la maison! ® Homebuyer Education. The Nampa Association of REALTORS® is a new regional training partner for the program, and regular classes will be offered in Nampa starting April 16th.
“We’re excited to have a regional training partner in Nampa so more people throughout the Treasure Valley have the opportunity to participate in a class that discusses one of the largest investments most families ever make,” Heather Harrison, Enfin à la maison! ® Homebuyer Education/Housing Counseling Administrator said.
Finally Home! ® provides a detailed look at exactly what potential homeowners can expect throughout the entire home buying process. Participants learn everything from whether they can afford homeownership and finding the right REALTOR®, to receiving information about mortgages, closing costs, budgets, and how to protect their greatest investment. Knowledgeable instructors are available to answer any and all questions about buying and owning a home. In some cases, completing a homebuyer education course may qualify a potential homeowner for down payment and closing cost assistance.
There are two ways to take advantage of this homebuyer education program; one is online, the other in-person. Enfin à la maison! ® starts on Saturday, April 16th at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. It will be held at Pioneer Title, located at 100 10th Avenue in Nampa. Attendees must pre-register by calling (208) 467-9534 or by sending an email to shelli@nampaboard.com. Homebuyer education is offered through the Idaho Partners for Homebuyer Education, Inc. regional training partners statewide. Homebuyers pay a $20 per person fee for in-class training, or $50 per person online. Nampa will be offering Spanish-speaking classes starting on June 11th. More information can be found online at www.ihfa.org.
“Anyone thinking about purchasing a home really should consider participating in Finally Home! ® first,” Harrison said. “It’s important that homebuyers know what to expect during the home purchase process, and educate themselves so they can make informed decisions.”
