BOISE— The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation recently contributed $5,000 to the Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Homebuyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.). In total, Wells Fargo has contributed more than $100,000 to the program since its inception in 1999.
“Idahoans need tools and resources to make smart financial decisions, especially when it comes to buying and owning a home,” said Jane Pavek, Community Development manager for Wells Fargo in Idaho. “Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, through its Finally Home!® program, provides financial education to help address many issues that potential homebuyers face. Wells Fargo is pleased to support Idaho Partners with financial and volunteer support, contributing to the economic success of our communities.”
These funds will be used to assist Finally Home!® with its operating expenses, such as reimbursement of the training partners, as well as costs for printing and distribution of the homebuyer education textbooks statewide.
“The financial support from Wells Fargo has allowed us to continue to reach first-time homebuyers across Idaho,” said Heather Bowman, Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education/Counseling administrator. “Additionally, Wells Fargo loan officers have also served as volunteer instructors for our classes, contributing to the success of the program.”
Finally Home! ® eight-hour classes are offered statewide by regional training partners in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Lewiston, Boise, Caldwell, Twin Falls, Pocatello, Nampa and Idaho Falls. Users can also access the online classes by visiting www.finallyhomecourse.com. In addition to covering all the steps necessary to purchase a home, the Finally Home! ® class also covers budgeting and credit issues, predatory lending, and steps to help homeowners retain their purchase. More than 26,000 Idahoans have graduated from the Finally Home! ® program since it began in 1999.
