The partnerships and projects that make Idaho communities better

Every year, the mission of Idaho Housing and Finance employees is to do our best for the people we serve. The work our organization does is the focus of our annual Community Report, which highlights the people we serve, our partnerships and the reasons behind what we do. Idaho Housing is proud to showcase our efforts in our 2021 Community Report.

We collaborated with our partners throughout the state to highlight the most compelling stories from among the diverse people and interests we help serve. In this year’s report, you’ll learn:

  • How a unique partnership between Idaho Housing, Saint Alphonsus/Trinity Health and the Nampa School District is bringing much-needed affordable housing to Canyon County while providing an opportunity for children experiencing homelessness.
  • How Idaho Housing’s financial expertise helped a developer turn a proposed market-rate apartment complex into luxury living at a price accessible to working-class families in North Idaho.
  • How the Housing Preservation Program is providing critical financial assistance for rent and utilities to thousands of families in Idaho that are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • How Idaho Housing provided an affordable solution to a Treasure Valley charter school to help it expand its facility.

We’re proud that the Community Report has been honored by the National Council of State Housing Agencies with an award for program excellence. We hope it provides a source of inspiration and encouragement for continuing our work together to strengthen Idaho communities. We thank our board, employees, investors, and countless partners for helping us make Idaho a better place to live and work.
